.D.H. Bertenthal & Sons was founded in 1950 by David H. Bertenthal, a consummate entrepreneur and pioneer with the goal of providing personalized service and delivering cutting edge technology to a wide variety of clientele. The business was a true family affair with Dave making sales calls and deliveries and his wife Harriet answering the phone and doing the invoicing while raising three young boys. Sons Paul, Steve and Sam worked during summers off from school and all joined the business full time soon after graduating college. The company built its present distribution facility, office and showroom in 1978 and expanded three years later. Just as when the business was a one station wagon operation, our focus continues to be centered on partnering with our customers and suppliers to deliver state of the art systems, services and supplies on a very customized basis. Dave Bertenthal continued to work until shortly before his death in 2003. We are proud to be a long standing family owned and a local Western Pennsylvania distributor with a keen focus on customer satisfaction.
